How career stats are calculated
Full Match
Career stats are computed from every stored delivery in your Full Matches — not stored as running totals. Correct a match and the stats correct themselves. Quick Matches have no player attribution, so they never contribute.
Computed, not accumulated
The app does not keep a running “total runs” number for each player. It re-reads the actual balls every time. That sounds like a detail; it is the reason fixing a scoring error two weeks later also fixes every stat that came from it, and the reason merging two duplicate players produces a genuinely correct combined career rather than an approximate sum.
Everything here is derived from stored deliveries.
The batting numbers
Runs — off the bat only. Byes and leg-byes go to the team, never the batter.
Balls — everything faced except wides.
Average — runs ÷ dismissals. Not-outs do not divide.
Strike rate — runs per 100 balls.
HS — highest score, with * if it was not out.
The bowling numbers
Wickets — bowler-credited only. Run-outs never count.
Economy — runs conceded per over. Byes and leg-byes are not charged to the bowler; wides and no-balls are.
Best — best single-match figures, most wickets first, then fewest runs.
