Why doesn't Quick Match count toward career stats?
Quick Match tracks the team score, not who faced or bowled each ball, so there is nothing to credit to a player's career. Score a Full Match — with named players — and every ball feeds career stats.
How career stats are calculated
Career stats are computed from every stored delivery in your Full Matches — not stored as running totals. Correct a match and the stats correct themselves. Quick Matches have no player attribution, so they never contribute.
The player profile screen
Tap any player in the Squad Book to open their profile: full batting and bowling careers, match count, and filters for arena and ball. The share icon exports it as a career card.
Filter a player's stats by arena and ball
Use the Arena and Ball dropdowns on a player's profile to narrow their career to one surface or ball type — a tape-ball average on turf, say. The two filters combine, and only surfaces they have actually played on appear.
How to compare two players side by side
In the Squad Book, tap a player's three-dot menu and choose Compare with…, then pick the second player. Both careers appear side by side with the better value highlighted in every row.
Head to head: how one batter fares against one bowler
At the bottom of the Compare screen, head to head shows every ball those two have actually contested across your saved Full Matches — runs, balls, strike rate, dismissals and boundaries, in both directions.
Ball-by-ball history behind the numbers
Wherever the app shows a strip of recent balls, tap it to open every delivery behind it — a batter's whole innings grouped by over, or an entire head-to-head grouped by dated match.
Which dismissals count against a batting average?
Every dismissal divides into the average except retired hurt, which is treated as not out. Retired out and timed out do count. Not-outs never divide, which is why a 52* can lift an average sharply.
