The figures always reconcile
Each section carries its own runs (balls), and they add up to the total above. That is deliberate: a history you cannot check against the headline number is just decoration.
One nuance: a batter's own strip drops wides, because a wide is not a ball faced. The head-to-head strip keeps them — a bowler spraying wides at a batter is part of that contest — so an H2H section can show one more chip than its balls figure.
