Quick Match or Full Match — which should I use?
Quick MatchFull Match
Quick Match scores the team only and starts in seconds. Full Match scores named players ball by ball, giving you scorecards and career stats. If anyone will later ask how many runs they scored, choose Full Match.
This is the first choice the app asks you to make, and it is the one that matters most — because it decides whether this match leaves a permanent record behind.
The chooser states the difference plainly.
Choose Quick Match when
You want to be scoring in under ten seconds — two team names and an over count is the whole setup.
Nobody has agreed teams properly and players are still arriving.
Only the result matters, not who did what.
Choose Full Match when
You want a real scorecard with batting and bowling figures.
You want career stats that build up week after week.
You want head-to-heads, awards, partnerships or Player of the Match.
Your game needs a squad rule — a common player, unequal teams, single-side batting.
A Quick Match cannot be converted to a Full Match afterwards. The player attribution was never recorded, so there is nothing to convert. When in doubt, start Full.
What Quick Match still gives you
Plenty: the ball-by-ball over breakdown, run rate, boundary and extras totals, worm and Manhattan charts, live streaming, sharing, and the match in your history forever. It simply doesn't know who was on strike.
People also ask
What is the fastest way to score a cricket match on a phone?
An anonymous mode that skips player names. In Gully Crix, Quick Match needs only two team names and an over count, so you are scoring within seconds.
Do I need player names to score a cricket match?
Not for the score itself. You need them for scorecards, career stats, head-to-heads and awards — which is what Full Match mode records.
Which cricket scoring mode should I use for a tournament?
Full Match. Named players give you real scorecards, Player of the Match and season-long stats, all of which a tournament needs.
